For Jeff Witt, the best thing about climbing is when he has the opportunity to share it with others. “Whether it is through the experience of climbing a mountain, sliding down a rope into free space, kicking a step into a steep snow slope, swinging an axe into ice, or skiing through boot-top powder with a beautiful valley laying at your feet, it is the smile that my guest is wearing that makes it all worth while,” he says. Having climbed and guided for 15 years, Jeff has done some impressive ski descents, including Mont Blanc’s North Face the North Face of the Tour Noire, as well as some impressive climbing ascents, such as climbing the Mount Everest via the South Col, the renowned Eiger North Face, the Direct Polish Glacier on Aconcagua, the Denali’s Cassin Ridge, and dozens more. When asked, “Is there anything special we should know about you?”, Jeff’s response was “I enjoy Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys, and traveling to strange lands on my old BMW R100GS motorcycle.”
